First Bank of Nigeria has started building its new head office at Eko Atlantic City, Lagos. The groundbreaking event took place on March 5, 2025. Once completed, the 40-storey tower will be the tallest building in Nigeria.

Many top leaders attended the ceremony, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Aliko Dangote, and Femi Otedola. In addition, several government officials were present to show their support.

According to Olayinka Ijabiyi, Acting Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, the new headquarters will set new standards in banking. Moreover, the building will feature modern technology and eco-friendly designs.

The location of the headquarters, Eko Atlantic City, offers many advantages. For instance, businesses there benefit from steady power, clean water, and advanced telecommunications. Furthermore, the city is designed to be a self-sustaining smart hub.

With this project, First Bank reinforces its commitment to innovation and sustainability. As a result, the bank will further strengthen its leadership in the financial sector.
