Pro-Ukraine protests have erupted across the US. Demonstrators in cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Boston showed strong support for Ukraine. Meanwhile, counter-protesters voiced their backing for Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
In Vermont, people protested near a ski resort where Vance was vacationing. As a result, his family reportedly left for safety reasons. Some protesters criticized Vance, arguing that he went too far. However, Governor Phil Scott urged people to remain respectful.
At the White House, tensions escalated. Trump told Zelensky to negotiate with Russia or risk losing US support. Furthermore, he warned that the situation could lead to a global conflict. Vance also backed Trump, calling Zelensky disrespectful.
Looking ahead, Zelensky will meet European leaders in London. In preparation, the UK has signed a loan deal to help Ukraine’s military and rebuilding efforts.
Ultimately, these protests highlight deep divisions in the US over Ukraine.
