Popular Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has finally spoken out after a man named Fatai Odunsi claimed to be his father and accused him of neglect.
In a video that has since gone viral, Odunsi alleged that he has been battling a stroke since 2022. He claimed that despite his worsening health, Asake has ignored his calls and has not offered any support.
Reacting to the controversy, Asake took to social media on Friday to share his thoughts. In a heartfelt message delivered in Yoruba, he expressed his struggles and hinted at feeling betrayed.
“You can’t please everyone, you can’t please the world,” Asake sang emotionally. “But whatever you do, do it for God. My own father wants to cajole me, and I have sent him so much money. I have struggled for so many years, but they want to make life tire me.”
The singer’s reaction has stirred mixed reactions among fans and social media users. While some sympathize with him, others question the authenticity of Odunsi’s claims.
Asake, who has made waves in the Nigerian music scene, is known for his unique style and catchy tunes. Despite the controversy, he continues to focus on his career while dealing with the challenges of fame.
