A tourist submarine sank near Hurghada, Egypt, raising fears of multiple casualties. The vessel, owned by Sindbad Submarines, carried 45 passengers, all identified as Russian nationals by their embassy.

Rescue teams saved 29 people and rushed them to hospitals for treatment. However, conflicting reports exist about the number of deaths. While some sources report six fatalities, the Russian embassy has confirmed four so far.

Authorities are actively investigating the cause of the accident. “The Sindbad” submarine, a popular tourist attraction, allowed visitors to explore coral reefs and marine life. However, this incident has sparked fresh concerns about maritime safety.

This tragedy comes just months after another deadly accident in November 2024, when a yacht called “Sea Story” sank. As officials continue their investigation, many hope for stronger safety measures to prevent future disasters.
